Replacing the Head Liner

I have a 2001 330xi and the head liner needs replacing. I've a few questions:

-What's a ballpark figure I could expect to pay to have professionally replaced?

-Can I reasonably replace it myself with little or no specialty tools?

-Is there anything I can do to tack it up in the mean time?

Temporary solution? thumbtacks. But don't expect that to last

You MIGHT be able to scrape off the old, dried glue (which is why it fails) from the backing, and reapply fresh adhesive, but it might be best to leave this to a professional.
