Problem with remote keyless entry

When I attempt to lock my Z3 with the remote keyless entry, a triple chirp sounds and no locking occurs. At the vehicle's last service, I had the technician examine the system; he thought the problem had to do with the hood. The problem was fixed albeit temporarily. After a few days and a few drives, the system malfunctioned again and does not work to this day. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Cristina

Could you tell us exactly what the "problem with the hood" was that precluded keyless entry option?

Hello,

I have the same problem.

I replaced the door latch striker which fixed the problem for about a week.

I had all the relays and fuses checked,

I replaced the hood switch,

I had the trunk switch checked,

I disconnected/reconnected the car battery,

I replaced the batteries in the remotes,

There are no computer codes.

the central locking functions fine with the key

What now?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated
