I am now the proud owner of a 1982 BMW 320i. I bought this car mainly as an autocrosser/daily driver, and so far that is what the car has been used for. So far I have replaced the front struts/control arms and the rear shocks. I've stopped most of the oil leaks, and next on the agenda is replacing the fuel vent hoses and adjusting the valves. So far it's been a fun car, although I really need a limited slip rear, which is a project for next year, along with a transmission rebuild to find the 3rd gear synchro that is MIA. I'll also get around to patching the rust in the trunk, but for the time being, I've just wire-wheeled it down to bear metal and put some stop-rust paint on the bad spots. For those around North Carolina I am also thinking about coming out for Vintage at the Vineyards, as the morning drive sounds really fun. See everybody around..mostly in the E21 section.
