Car is off to paint today =) Hope it will not take as long as it did to install the CSL parts LOL. After paint, it I can break in the car for the 500 miles needed to set the DIFF gear. After all the break ins and fluid changes, I will work on the videos and a nice photo shoot of the car.
Car has been dropped of to have the bumper and the front end re-sprayed. Should have it back by the end of the week.. YAY. A update on driving impression. First I still have not taken the car over 4000 rpm yet so don't ask. The car feels a LOT snappier as well as has that intake rumble. From 1500 RPM up the car feels to respond like the 1M.
Might be a good idea to do that before you get it back - avoid the nightmare story of having some jackass total your car as you're driving it home from the bodyshop and not be adequately covered! Lookin' good so far!

So I finally have a real update. I got the car back from interior and paint touch up WOOT. Interior looks great and the CSL 1M doors look pretty good. I REALLY need to clean the inside as the car has been gone for 4 months and the shop dust builds up. So here are some quick interior images.

Both did a excellent job on the work I requests and the prices were fair. A they say you get what you pay for and the work was A+ Thanks to Sierra Auto Body and Romans in Auburn CA.
I spent Saturday morning on 4/20 installing the passenger seat sensor. The Install was easier than I made it to be as I didn’t realize the seat sensor I needed was on the bottom of the old stock seats. So had to go over to storage and get the part and plug it in. Next step is to go to the local BMW shop to clear the passenger airbag code.
Had another Saturday free and went to the future father in laws shop to adjust the front bumper. Still trying to get it just right but we did close the gap a little more than it was. Will be working on it this weekend again to hopefully get it all just right.
So if you are going to do something right, GO all the way with it. So I went full vanity and got a new custom plate. I have a new tune from Evolve I will be installing to address the slight issue of the car running rich.
I have two updates. First update is I installed the new Evolve Tune. This was to address a slight running rich issue the car has at start. They also added a CSL rev match which does a better job than stock SMG tune. Second update is a video, but I will post that later. I know I am mean.

First weekend I had time to clean the car and get it ready for the 500 mile drive down to bimmerfest. As it was Mothers Day I was only able to clay bar the car, clean the engine bay and polish the wheels / brake calipers. Next few nights are polish and wax the car and detail the interior. Here is the first steps in the cleaning process. The rag was BRIGHT yellow to start. 4 months of work and being in and out of shops makes for one dusty motor and interior.
