iPod connection

    I just got e60 530i 2004 currently I have the ipod connected through the radio and it does ok.
    What are the benefits of the iPod/BMW set up. do you get the play list on the i drive and can yu use all the steering wheel functions to shuffle

    I went on line to research but didnt really find a great deal

    The sound quality will be much better and you will be able to control the iPod via the iDrive controller and the MFL.
