Sweet sounding car, I just picked up an '88 M3 yesterday myself. It's Lotus orange but the color kind of grows on you. I'll upload a couple of picks when i get the chance.

Maybe I am confused. But if you a referring to the 88 E30 M3, there is no color called Lotus Orange. In 1988, it was Henna Red changing the Zinno in the second half of the year. If the car in question is an E30 M3 and it is the color you name, it was resprayed.

Pics of the strut tower?

Actually it is a Lotus color the guy painted on it, Lotus Chrome Orange Metallic, I believe its called. The strut tower says diamantschwartz as the car was originally black, which I wish it still was!
