Just got a call from BMW NA advising there is a recall on the 2013 F10 M5, apparently an oil pump failure that could cause the need to replace the entire engine. BMW advising NOT to drive the vehicle until the issue is resolved!
Can you believe this? In addition to this fiasco, my front windows did not work. Of course, that issue was promptly fixed. And why would it take two weeks to install a new oil pump. Certainly the parts could be sent in a day or two. I wonder if an AMG would have the same problem?
Anybody who would compare an AMG with an M5 should probably get the Mercedes. La Jolla is thick with the goddamn things, usually a little old lady who's "had a little work." Around here it stands for Another Mercedes Geezer.
