E60 Replace Brakes Warning Indicator Reset

I've successfully reset my oil change, microfilter, etc. reminders and understand the process using the odometer reset button, but I'm still getting the red "replace your rear brake pads" notice after replacing them and the sensors. When I try to reset it, the only option is -15,000 miles. Has anyone determined how to reset it when you are getting this message? I don't want to have to go to the stealership to have them reset it. No telling what they'll try to charge me!
