Does anyone know the distinction between the BMW stock symbols BAMXF & BAMXY? Anyone know what group each represents? Currently XF is trading at about $78 & XY at $26.
I dunno. A quick glance at my holdings shows "BMW.DE" (which I recall is actually BAMX) at $53.88 today.
These are different ways of representing a stock that is listed on a foreign exchange. They are known as "pink sheets'. Talk to your stock broker about the details but in general XF is a representation of the BMW stock, where XY is a "unit" of a bunch of stock, known as an American Depositary Receipt (ADR).
