I have a 2003 530 i and my check license plate light keeps coming on . When I have the head lights on my license plate lights are on , when I have the head lights off the licence plate lights are off . Any one ever have this problem ? The lighting system works fine (parking marker lights head lights and license plate lights both when their on and off . It's when I'm driving I get warning on instrument panel "check your license plate light " and their seems to be no problem with I cant understand why I keep geting this warning ?
This is a strange one and I don't think I can help. But I think some clarification would be helpful to help others diagnose your issue.. Are you basically saying that when your parking/marker lights are on (no headlights, switch in first detent) your license plate lights are not illuminated?
