2003 530i cabin fan stopped

Suddenly my fan stopped blowing for a/c or fresh air, panel lights still indicate what speed it is blowing, the tiny bit of air coming from the vents while moving seems to be chilled when a/c is on. It came back on the next day, but is dead again.

I've check fuses, all looks good. Any help on what is going on?

Probably not related, but for about a year I get a check engine oil level every time I turn the car off. When checked, the oil is not low.

Your Final Stage Unit has failed. This is very common. It happened to me last summer with the exact same symptoms (on one of the only 90°+ days, figures.) The part is about $100 and is an easy, but puttsy DIY job -- it's a pain to wiggle the old one out.
