Results of a winter checkup (MN) noted that the automatic transmission's 'Mechatronic Sealing Sleeve' is leaking & needs to be replaced. Since then, the 'transmission fluid' warning has come on twice when engine is cold. Restart of engine does the trick. There is no transmission fluid on garage floor. Should this be replaced soon - its beyond my capabilities & priced at ~$900 P&L?
yea very common 900 including a fluid and filter change? thats good not including the fluid change and filter =no good
Yah it's expensive job because the pan should be replaced which includes the filter for the transmission. The fluid is really the most expensive part of the whole replacment. The reason your not seeing fluid is probably because of the transmission under shield. You really dont wanna keep driving the car if the low fluid light is coming on because it may cause damage to your transmission so sooner then later would be better.
